Hello dear forum members,

we have finally signed the long-awaited construction contract and hope that building can start soon.
We would like to make a small redesign in our house, but we simply don’t know how. We have tried rearranging and moving things around but haven’t found a good solution yet.
Unfortunately, the meeting with the planner is still some time away, so I am hoping for your creative ideas.
The "problem" is that we would like to add a walk-in closet in the master area. On the left side, a (small) bathroom must remain according to the plan.
We want to include, besides 4 rooms, a small shower bathroom, a larger bathroom with a bathtub and shower, and a walk-in closet in the master area (next to the shower bathroom). The walk-in closet shown on the plan is intended to become a 3rd child’s room. By the way, the knee wall has been raised to 1.25 m (4 feet) and the roof pitch changed to 35 degrees.

Maybe you have tips and/or ideas? I would really appreciate that.

Best regards

I would reduce the size of the bedroom and create access to the bathroom from below, through the walk-in closet.
Shrink the bedroom so that a second row of cabinets fits along the top wall of the walk-in closet, with the door to the bathroom integrated into it.
Alternatively, the bathroom could also be accessed directly from the entrance area of the walk-in closet.

At least instead of the (very large) dressing table, you could place a wardrobe. Does the bedroom really need to be that long? Otherwise, the upper bathroom wall could be moved further upward, which would make the wardrobe niche to the right of the bathroom even larger. Alternatively, a wardrobe could also be placed on the wall above the bathroom and dressing table.

I don’t see where an additional room could be created there.

Could you link where the rest of the house layout can be found? I wouldn’t call this a "minor" issue. The walk-in closet is only suitable for a very young child still sharing the master bedroom.

I would align the dormer and interior walls with each other. Otherwise, it somehow looks like poor workmanship.

Simply moving a few walls won’t be enough. It’s a large floor plan for the space.
