Hello, I would like to have a walk-in closet connecting the bedroom to the bathroom. I find this very practical and modern. Unfortunately, my partner is completely against it because he thinks that if children use the bathroom, it could get noisy.

I need arguments against this concern. Aren't two doors enough for sound insulation?

I don’t understand the connection between noise levels and the bathroom location next to the dressing room or hallway.
What does he mean by loud? Playing in the bathtub? Arguing?
Children can be taught not to shout loudly...

If the children are noisy, they will be noisy regardless of the bathroom location.

If they are loud, the question is who they are disturbing?
At that time, there shouldn’t be anyone sleeping in the bedroom nearby anyway. The bedroom door should be there anyway; otherwise, there won’t be any more children [emoji6]

The problem can be easily solved by designing one bathroom for the children and one for the parents. This is recommended anyway if there is more than one child.

We had the same idea. I find two doors in the bathroom very impractical. If you want to avoid that, you either need two bathrooms or a hallway between the dressing room and the bathroom.

I consider a small changing area with clothes between the bedroom and bathroom to be unproblematic in terms of sound.

We implemented it this way and find it very practical!

Are you planning on using mechanical ventilation with heat recovery? If not, simply use a door with soundproof seals; if yes, then make sure to install transfer frames.

Otherwise, you will hear noises like flushing and so on.
