I know this is probably a silly question, but I really have no clue right now. In the past, I used to just hammer nails into the walls.
By now, I’ve become a bit more cautious about it. If I want to change positions later, I’d end up with lots of small nail holes in the walls.
How do you handle this? We have wallpaper. I’ve read about nano tape, which is said to hold pictures very securely, but opinions are very mixed on how well it can be removed.
I also don’t want to avoid a nail hole only to end up with a tape strip-sized hole in the wallpaper.

Since the paint is in buckets, it is protected from light. More important is that it doesn’t freeze. We nailed all the boards to the wall.Oh dear, I hope they survived the winter up there 🤨 I had considered transferring some paint into jars and storing them downstairs for easier access. But in jars, the paint wouldn’t be protected from light anymore.
