I am currently working on planning a new kitchen. The space is very limited, so I want to make the most efficient use of the available area.
In the picture, you can see a dishwasher and a 60cm (24 inch) base cabinet for the sink (SP). Is it possible, for example, to install a Boholmen sink (70cm / 28 inches) as shown, that is, spanning both cabinets? In my opinion, this should work, but I’m asking just to be sure.
Another question: when I try to place the above sink on an 80cm (31.5 inch) base cabinet using the planner, the sink is not centered; instead, it is positioned to the left (or right). This means the basin is centered, but the draining board is off to one side. Is this a planner error or a misunderstanding on my part?

I never mentioned any support load at any point; it was only about securing the dishwasher and other appliances to or inside the cabinet. So if a potential customer reads your first post,
...Exactly, you didn’t mention support load, but resting on something essentially means that the load is supported by the appliance.

Countertops never rest directly on base appliances; there is always some clearance.
...Fastenings must be applied according to the installation instructions (countertop, cabinet carcass, adjacent cabinets, wall, etc.).
Kitchens are fully leveled and anchored and fitted with the countertop before a dishwasher or washing machine is installed. As a kitchen salesperson, you should at least know the basic rules of installation, so you understand what is possible and what is definitely not allowed!

IKEA-Experte6 Jun 2013 14:34The installation manual from Bosch / Siemens states that the dishwasher should be secured tensioned. If a bracket is placed in the wrong position, this can cause problems.
