ᐅ Floor-to-ceiling windows that open outward, providing more usable interior space

Hello dear forum members,
On the ground floor, I mostly have floor-to-ceiling windows, and partly there are things placed in front or just a small space (still in the planning stage). Outward opening could help here.
Is this done or not? Is it possibly not allowed?
Why not? Brilliant? Crazy idea? Unusual but feasible? Old hat?
Best regards
Tolentino

Okay, then I understood you correctly. As I said, my concern is only about allowing air to escape, not for ventilation or anything else. In that sense, a two-part design—whether a hinged door or fixed at the bottom—wouldn’t make much difference.
But the roller shutter would only hit it if the window is open. However, the window is only open when I want to go outside, for which the roller shutter would have to be open anyway. So, in that regard...
But I probably won’t do it anyway. It was just a quick idea.

But the venetian blind would only slam against it if the window is open. That only happens when I want to go outside, and the blind has to be open anyway.Yes – your mistake: the venetian blind would remain manual forever (or would need an auto-stop like a garage door opener). We’re talking about maybe a 4 cm (1.5 inches) gap between the window and the venetian blind; that’s practically nothing, even for tilting the window for ventilation, unless the blind is fully retracted. Forget about opening the window with an external venetian blind.https://www.instagram.com/11antgmxde/

Why do there always have to be floor-to-ceiling windows everywhere? Because it looks cool, if you can have them.

Outward-opening windows are generally very common in Scandinavia. The Swedes and Finns probably envy us with the German window standards. Tolentino schrieb:
Yes, let’s see what my father-in-law thinks about it. Is he moving in?

I actually want to be able to step outside there for a moment. The option you build applies to terrace doors, free from furniture, and the time when you get a new sofa or rearrange the furniture.

I’m just a lazy person. I enjoy saving steps. Also, my wife could water her plants from outside without having to move the sofa. Too lazy now to untangle your mental knot?
