Hello, for cost reasons we have now decided on uPVC windows.
However, I really don't like the glossy white plastic. :-(
Has anyone ordered these new decorative foil finishes and can share experiences or pictures?
I was thinking of matte white or wood white.
If anyone has them, I would appreciate any information.

Price including electric roller shutter? Sounds good at first, even though it’s hard to compare. No, people don’t do that in northern Germany [emoji4]

Tomorrow I’m meeting with the carpenter to check if it’s an aluminum door (hopefully) You get aluminum only if you order aluminum, and carpenters usually don’t work with aluminum. However, I would go for it, since an exterior door (even in a single-family house) faces more stress than a balcony door. Only the tough make it through to the garden.

Yes, exactly.

Exactly, aluminum and roller shutters, exterior shutters that close outward, carved Madonna with child, slate roof, and double garages are not done here. Also no RC xyz or fingerprint locks.
A must, on the other hand: plastic windows in gray or white, or completely overpriced Danish spruce windows that need painting three times a year, otherwise they quickly rot. Back door, outdoor sink, toilet in the shed, flagpole, chicken coop, metal garage. Always leave the key in all doors—then it won’t get lost! Karsten

The door measured 110 cm (43 inches) plus a 50 cm (20 inch) side panel, costing 5,000 euros. This plastic door creaked and warped under normal use (pulling and pushing with both hands on the frame). Additionally, for structural reasons, the side panel could not be made without its own frame, meaning two frame profiles ran parallel in the center, reducing the clear passage width. See the attached picture as an example. I don’t know if this is “normal,” but in our building area, all the larger plastic doors I know of are simply poor quality or even rubbish in a similar way.
Two days after installation, I gave our carpenter the choice to reduce the door price by 4,000 euros or to remove the door himself. Since he didn’t agree to either option, I had the door removed and scrapped at a cost of 1,200 euros. I never paid for the door itself, and I offset the 1,200 euros against the windows.
And we are also facing north.
