ᐅ Does the Variera knife tray fit inside the shallow Maximera drawer?

blubstarHello everyone,
I have several low Maximera drawers, each with a front panel 10cm (4 inches) high, and an internal usable height of 7.2cm (2.8 inches).
Can I use the VARIERA bamboo knife organizer in them? This one:
VARIERA
Knife organizer, bamboo
It is clear that the insert itself fits inside the drawer.
But my question is: Will large meat and vegetable knives also fit height-wise? And will the drawer still close properly?
Has anyone tried this and been successful (or unsuccessful)?

that will probably depend on how wide your knives are. From the available internal height, I would subtract at least 1.5 cm (0.6 inches) (from the bottom edge of the insert to the bottom edge of the slots for the knives) to determine the usable height.
If there is an IKEA nearby: buy it, and if it doesn’t fit, return it.
