Hello everyone,

we recently chose the vinyl flooring for our bathroom. I have heard that in wet rooms, baseboards should not be omitted if there is a gap between the wall and the floor. That makes sense.

The baseboard is usually made from the wall tiles. Since we won’t be tiling all the walls, I wonder how it will look if a concrete-gray baseboard meets a mid-oak tone floor, with white walls above.

How does that look? Has anyone done something similar and could share a photo?

Thanks in advance.

Maybe I’m old-fashioned, but as I understand it, the baseboard is cut from the floor tiles or adapted to the flooring. Just like with hardwood or laminate flooring. So how did you solve this "problem" in the living room?

Where there are no wall tiles, baseboards will be cut from the floor tiles.

I would choose a continuous white strip, not tiles.

Like willo. Baseboards in floor decor are, in my opinion, outdated. Neutral white. Everywhere.

We don’t have floor tiles in the bathroom. In the other rooms, we have neutral white wooden baseboards. Is it possible to “cut” a baseboard from vinyl? A wooden baseboard is probably not suitable for wet rooms.

Thanks for your input. [emoji106]
