Hello everyone, which saw is best for cutting parquet lengthwise? Usually, the long edges are covered by baseboards, but I have a floor convector along which I need to lay the parquet lengthwise. A cut with a jigsaw doesn’t look good in this case. The problem is that the parquet is 220cm (87 inches) long. What kind of tool would you recommend? I was considering a circular saw or a table saw, preferably with a long guide rail (if such a size even exists).
Do you have any other tips? Thanks

A circular hand saw is definitely the right choice. Almost every well-known manufacturer offers a guide rail as an accessory, which the saw is placed on to automatically maintain the correct cutting line. Your local tool rental service or hardware store should have something like this. Always use a new blade and test the cutting quality on a scrap piece beforehand.
A table saw will probably work as well, as it usually comes with a built-in rip fence. Alternatively, you can mark the measurements yourself and have it cut by a carpenter, who will have the appropriate tools.
