Hello everyone, which saw is best for cutting parquet lengthwise? Usually, the long edges are covered by baseboards, but I have a floor convector along which I need to lay the parquet lengthwise. A cut with a jigsaw doesn’t look good in this case. The problem is that the parquet is 220cm (87 inches) long. What kind of tool would you recommend? I was considering a circular saw or a table saw, preferably with a long guide rail (if such a size even exists).
Do you have any other tips? Thanks

I’d like to give some feedback regarding cutting the parquet flooring.
I used a miter saw for the cuts on the short side, which worked perfectly. Notches were made with a standard jigsaw, and for the cuts on the long side, I used a handheld circular saw with a guide rail. Although the guide rail was only 60cm (24 inches) long, we were able to move it along together so that smooth cuts were still possible.
Luckily, all of these saws were available through friends, so I didn’t have to buy any myself.

Why "fortunately"? Projects like these are the perfect excuse… uh, reason to get something like that. Well, fortunately because there are plenty of other expenses involved in the renovation.
But overall, I agree with you.
