Hello everyone,

we are planning our single-family home and are now finalizing the details for the bathroom on the upper floor. The bathroom has a sloped ceiling (south side). We would like an open shower without a door and would like to have two sinks. We are uncertain about the bathtub — we wonder if a freestanding tub would look good given the relatively small bathroom size of about 13m² (140 sq ft). Attached are the official planning documents and my recreation in SweetHome 3D.

Do you have any suggestions or ideas regarding the bathtub? I’m not completely happy with the toilet placement behind the door, but my partner really prefers it that way.

A bit more information about the floor would be helpful. (That means the entire floor including the ground floor.) The knee wall height and roof pitch, in other words the 2-meter (6 ft 7 in) line, would also be important.

And the room width of 408 cm (161 inches) does not seem correct, because the original plan states 388 cm (153 inches). Also, it looks like the measurements for the wall section, then the door on the right side, are not accurate.

In case it helps you: we planned almost the same for a similar size... However, the roof slope is on the opposite side. The 2m (6.6 ft) line shifts by about 15cm (6 inches) toward the roof because the roof will have a slightly different construction.
