My specific question is: Does IKEA offer special handles designed specifically for Platsa doors, or are these doors generally intended to be used with third-party or standard furniture handles?

I wanted to add that although there are no dedicated PLATSA handles from IKEA, IKEA does offer several handles that fit PLATSA doors. For example, the "Långtärn," "Berör," or "Ringskär" series. These are primarily intended for kitchen fronts and dressers, but their drilling dimensions are compatible with PLATSA doors.

If you don’t like the style of those handles, third-party door handles are also an option, as the hole pattern is usually compatible. The important thing is to double-check the drilling measurements before installation, since PLATSA doors are available in different versions (wood look, melamine, etc.).
