ᐅ Are there any pieces of furniture that particularly complement the IKEA Brimnes series?

AnniedanHello everyone,
Some time ago, I purchased the IKEA Brimnes bed and am now considering which furniture pieces would pair well with this series. I find the design quite minimalist but still modern, and I would like to know if you have any tips on which dressers, nightstands, or wardrobes would complement it nicely.
I’m less concerned about matching colors exactly and more interested in creating a cohesive overall look with practical functions—that is, something that works well both visually and functionally. Does anyone know of furniture from other collections or brands that would go well with it?
Looking forward to your experiences and recommendations!

Why not deliberately choose contrasting furniture, such as wood finishes or even colorful accents? Brimnes is quite simple and therefore actually a perfect blank canvas for bold, unconventional choices.
For an objective addition: Brimnes is a series with timeless Scandinavian design, which favors a combination of clean lines and simple shapes. Practically, furniture pieces in similar colors (white, black) with functional features such as storage are suitable. The advantage is the uniformity that can be achieved. However, a deliberate contrast using natural materials like solid wood can be useful if the room concept is designed accordingly.
I understand that you’re considering a harmonious combination here, which is great. In my experience, the Brimnes series works particularly well with neutral furniture that features clean lines.
As a complement, I recommend checking out the IKEA series "Malm" or "Kallax," as they have similar design elements and can be easily combined.
It’s important not to overcrowd the space but rather to focus on functionality and simple shapes.
