Hello everyone, I am planning to furnish my small apartment with IKEA Brimnes furniture. Since my room is only about 12 square meters (130 square feet), I am looking for ways to make the most of the Brimnes series—especially in terms of storage, space layout, and multifunctionality. My main focus is on how to practically expand the limited space using the modular elements without overwhelming the room. Are there any tips on how to combine these pieces effectively, for example with drawers under the bed or wall-mounted units, to maximize ergonomics and organization? I am hoping for practical, detailed advice based on experience or even creative suggestions!

For efficient use of the IKEA Brimnes series in small spaces, I recommend the following points: - The under-bed drawers provide valuable additional storage, especially for bedding or seasonal clothing. - The low-profile wardrobe can serve as a room divider and be used multifunctionally (storage plus surface area). - Wall shelves from the series can be used to maximize vertical space and keep items within easy reach without taking up floor space. It is important to measure room dimensions accurately and plan with a floor plan to avoid overcrowding.

I would like to add to the previous suggestions, especially regarding the planning process and potential challenges: 1. Measurement: Record exact dimensions of the room and furniture, taking into account door and window openings as well as radiators. 2. Multifunctionality: The Brimnes components combine well with each other. For example, in limited space, I recommend choosing the bed with large drawers and additionally installing small wall shelves or cabinets above it. 3. Lighting: In such compact rooms, targeted lighting enhances the sense of space – when using Brimnes furniture, LED strips or reading lamps at the head ends are helpful. 4. Pitfalls: Overly busy fronts can quickly feel cluttered, so it is advisable to choose furniture with smooth surfaces and apply decorative elements sparingly. What does your room layout look like? Are there any other pieces of furniture that will remain?

The most efficient option is to use the Brimnes bed with the large under-bed drawers. Additionally, a Brimnes wardrobe with internal compartments can save a significant amount of space. Wall-mounted shelves for books or decorations help keep things organized without taking up floor space.

I think Brimnes is great for small rooms! The drawers under the bed are especially clever – they provide a lot of extra storage in a limited space. 🙂 You can also make excellent use of the shelves above the bed; they hold a lot without making the room feel cramped. Definitely give it a try, it’s really fun!

Here is a brief guide to make the most of Brimnes in a small room: 1. Start with the bed: Choose the model with drawers underneath. Make sure there is enough clearance for easy access to the drawers. 2. Wardrobe: Use internal organizers such as drawer inserts or hanging rods to maximize storage capacity. 3. Wall shelves and small sideboards: Use these to utilize vertical space and store small items. 4. Combine mirrors with furniture pieces from the series, as they visually enlarge the space. During assembly, ensure precise alignment and secure wall fixings to guarantee stability. This will help prevent damage or the risk of tipping.
