Hello everyone,

I am planning to assemble an Ikea Hemnes furniture piece and am looking for good instructional videos that explain the assembly process in detail.

My question is: Are there reliable and comprehensive tutorial videos specifically for assembling the Ikea Hemnes that also address common difficulties, so that the process can be as smooth and frustration-free as possible?

I already have the printed instructions, but some assembly steps are still a bit unclear to me, and a visual video could really help.

That is absolutely true, especially with the drawer runners it is important to install them correctly and securely so that the drawers do not stick or run unevenly later on.

I recommend lightly tightening all screws before inserting the drawers, and only fully tightening everything at the end. This way, small adjustments can still be made.

Exactly, that’s essential! Additionally, you shouldn’t overtighten the screws before everything is properly aligned, as this can cause the wood to warp.

If you move the Hemnes dresser regularly, I also suggest placing suitable pads under the feet right away to prevent pressure damage to the frame. Are you using a cordless drill? Be careful with the torque, as that can easily cause damage.

I’d be interested to know if you’ve already started assembly or are still planning—how far along are you?
