sonharold17 Jul 2024 09:12Hello everyone,
I have a question regarding the Ikea Pax wardrobe series. Are there any Ikea Pax wardrobes that come with special compartments designed specifically for accessories? I’m not referring to simple shelves or hanging rods, but rather integrated organizers, such as inserts for jewelry, watches, ties, belts, or small compartments tailored for such accessories.
I am mainly interested in practical and well-thought-out solutions that allow easy overview and organization of various small items inside the wardrobe. Does anyone have experience with this or know of any products that offer this from the factory, or possibly official additional modules from Ikea for the Pax system intended for this purpose?
Thank you in advance!

Hello,
basically, the Ikea Pax systems are designed to be very modular and offer numerous inserts and accessories. However, the standard range does not include special fixed inserts exclusively for jewelry or very small accessories.
Ikea offers various inserts such as drawer dividers, small compartment boxes for drawers, and organizational aids that can be used for accessories like ties, belts, or jewelry. These are usually available as accessories and can be individually integrated into the Pax units.
In summary: there are no pre-installed special compartments by default, but modular solutions that you can add.

Interesting point what KAULIS says.
However, I would question whether it makes sense to expect a complete solution for such specialized compartments from Ikea. Ikea offers broad, flexible systems designed to suit many purposes. For truly specialized solutions for jewelry or accessories, custom-built inserts or third-party accessories are probably more suitable.
Especially for small valuable items, I prefer individual solutions that better fit personal use. Ikea modules are more universal.
Does anyone here have practical experience with third-party products for the Pax system that complement such specialized compartments?

I am particularly interested in how you manage this when you have many different accessories that you don’t want just loose in a large drawer. Do you use drawer inserts made of wood, metal, or plastic, which are purchased separately to better organize the drawers?
Or do you prefer using boxes and small containers that are not fixed in place?
I often find the standard stuff from Ikea too generic.
Exactly!
The question is whether you can expect that from a mass-market provider like Ikea. There are plenty of suppliers offering special wooden drawer inserts with many small compartments. Also, magnetic strips or specialized holders for jewelry are better sourced elsewhere, since Ikea targets a broad audience with simple, universal solutions.
If you want more, you probably need to look beyond or get creative yourself.
