Hello everyone,
I am currently planning to buy a new Pax wardrobe from Ikea, and I am particularly interested in the option of integrated LED lighting. My question is: does Ikea offer any Pax wardrobe variants or models that come with built-in LED lighting, or at least an official Ikea solution that can be easily and effectively installed inside the wardrobe?
I am mainly looking for a harmonious, evenly distributed lighting that illuminates the interior of the wardrobe optimally without relying on external power outlets or complicated DIY setups. If anyone has experience with the official products or good alternatives, I would greatly appreciate a detailed explanation.
Thank you in advance!

Hello, I think the idea of smart lighting the cabinet is really cool. I equipped mine with Ikea "Ledberg" lights and a wireless remote control because I didn’t find the concept with the door sensor so clean.
Wiring can be tricky, but if you use self-adhesive LED strips on the cabinet sides, you can hide the cables well and easily disconnect them for maintenance if needed.
A quick tip: If you prefer a warm white light color, go for 3000K, as it’s easier on the eyes, especially in the bedroom.
If you’re interested, I can share some links to the Ikea lighting kits I used.

From my experience: if you want a permanently installed, wired lighting solution, Ikea products can be a good starting point but are often not the most durable option. It is worth investing in high-quality LED strips and a suitable power supply unit.
Only this way can brightness and even illumination inside the Pax wardrobe be ensured.
For the cabinet doors, you can use special LED profiles with diffusers that are compatible with magnetic sensors. This provides a very professional finish.
Also pay attention to safety: cables should not be pinched or left unprotected, especially in furniture with moving parts.
Accurate measurements before installation can save you a lot of rework.
