Hello everyone, I am the new member from Frankfurt Hausen.
My wife wants an "American-style refrigerator,"
and she will get one, but it requires a water connection.
Who has experience with this?
Can I use a copper pipe up to the water tap?
If yes, what diameter should it be?
Do I need to use sealing paste or hemp fiber for the seal?
Thanks 😎

The bird of prey park is always nice. That’s true. But they also have a charming little Christmas market where Santa Claus still visits each child individually. We enjoy going there with our kids every year.

We decided to go with one that has a water tank because after thinking it over carefully, we realized that the water dispenser probably wouldn’t be used very often. I prefer sparkling water, and my wife usually drinks juice rather than plain water. However, we didn’t want to give up the dispenser entirely.

Small details: There are so many little features that make the side-by-side fridge especially appealing. The ice dispenser (my wife doesn’t like ice-cold drinks); a drink compartment in the door; a compartment in the door where you can grab breakfast items without opening the fridge completely (I would have liked that, but it would have blown the budget).

Now – after about 9 months of use – a mid-term review:
We love our side-by-side fridge and wouldn’t want to do without it anymore.
I’m also quite surprised. Since we got the fridge with the water dispenser, I’ve been drinking water quite often instead of sparkling water. I really didn’t expect that.
I also managed to get the kids to have some water first when they’re thirsty before reaching for their usual juice.

What surprised me most is how much ice I’ve used over the last (warm) months. Before, without ice, I usually drank my drinks “plain.” Lately, with the heat, I like to have my cola or sparkling water with ice. (Yes – I know – warm drinks are supposed to work better.)

Conclusion: If I had to decide again, I would definitely choose a side-by-side with a water dispenser.

The kitchen fitter installed a 4m (13 feet) stainless steel hose under the kitchen, and the plumber installed an additional outlet under the sink
uh, do you mean "inlet" or "drain" when you say "outlet"? The latter isn't needed for the fridge, right?!

Confused,

Me too (without a water connection, but with water and ice cube dispenser)

We are planning to include a dedicated niche with a cold water connection for a side-by-side refrigerator in our new build. Currently, we have a simple model with a water dispenser, and we love it! Just place a glass under, get fresh cold water, and ice cubes on demand. This beverage door is also incredibly practical, even though I never would have expected that.
