ᐅ Absolutely unhappy with the new paving, it doesn’t fit well – looking for advice

We started laying new paving at our 20-year-old house. I chose a gray mix made of concrete. Now part of it is installed, and it looks quite awful—probably also because the paving at the neighboring houses is already dull gray.
I actually like the paving, but right now it appears bright gray-blue. It just doesn’t fit at all—well, it’s not finished yet. The stairs will still get a stainless steel railing. But now, it might still be possible to change the choice. I didn’t want beige or red originally.
This paving will probably also become grayer and lighter over time, right?

All right, I take it all back. By now, it looks really great. It was shaken, the joints were filled with graphite sand, the stairs and lower facade were cleaned, and bam – the result is amazing. Thanks for the advice. Sometimes you just need a little patience.

It’s still not finished yet. The facade and stairs will be cleaned again, and the gray concrete strip will be plastered white.
I think it looks really good now.

You have quite an adventurous door handle. 🙂 The shutters and windows suit the house well, in my opinion. The driveway does too. I would say everything was done right.

I actually find the porch roof even more adventurous 😉 .

The paving looks good, great that you are happy with it after all!
We had the same, just with large-format tiles, and yes, the color differences become less striking over time, but are still noticeable. We still liked it even after 16 years.
