ᐅ Absolutely unhappy with the new paving, it doesn’t fit well – looking for advice

We started laying new paving at our 20-year-old house. I chose a gray mix made of concrete. Now part of it is installed, and it looks quite awful—probably also because the paving at the neighboring houses is already dull gray.
I actually like the paving, but right now it appears bright gray-blue. It just doesn’t fit at all—well, it’s not finished yet. The stairs will still get a stainless steel railing. But now, it might still be possible to change the choice. I didn’t want beige or red originally.
This paving will probably also become grayer and lighter over time, right?
Newly paved courtyard path with metal cover, planting bed on the right, blue car in the background.

Row of houses with red roof tiles; construction materials and parked car under wooden carport.

New elements often look unnatural and strange alongside old ones. However, this usually changes over time, for example through getting used to it.

After about half a year, the pavement also adjusts somewhat. Once it has collected some sand, everything appears a bit more neutral.

Concrete paving doesn’t age particularly well. Especially concrete with nuanced coloring often loses its variation and tends to fade to a standard gray. That’s not exactly what you want to hear after a fresh installation, but after a few years the paving definitely won’t look brand new anymore.

The contrasts will diminish somewhat and fade. Overall, it will become brighter, the dark color will not persist, and it will become more uniform.

It actually looks good. You can hardly even notice the cross joint.

The palisades in the emerging gravel garden blend very well with the roof vents.
I find the small-scale cobblestone / granite blocks from the neighbor appealing. Yours wouldn’t stand out as much and wouldn’t look like a cookie-cutter design either.
