ᐅ Absolutely unhappy with the new paving, it doesn’t fit well – looking for advice

We started laying new paving at our 20-year-old house. I chose a gray mix made of concrete. Now part of it is installed, and it looks quite awful—probably also because the paving at the neighboring houses is already dull gray.
I actually like the paving, but right now it appears bright gray-blue. It just doesn’t fit at all—well, it’s not finished yet. The stairs will still get a stainless steel railing. But now, it might still be possible to change the choice. I didn’t want beige or red originally.
This paving will probably also become grayer and lighter over time, right?
Newly paved courtyard path with metal cover, planting bed on the right, blue car in the background.

Row of houses with red roof tiles; construction materials and parked car under wooden carport.

It definitely looks much less like a foreign object now. It will probably blend in even more once it appears a bit more "used." Glad to hear you like it after all. 🙂

Regarding photo 3: Did your neighbor have the mosaic pavement installed in segmented arches? I think that looks great and I’m still hoping ;-) that my husband will install it the same way for us... With a professional, it would probably cost a fortune, not to mention that we can’t find anyone locally anyway.

I like it very much. Why not?
