I am currently planning to assemble an IKEA Brimnes furniture piece and am wondering which tools are truly necessary for the assembly and which ones can safely be left out.
The Brimnes is relatively simple in design, but I don’t want to prepare too many tools that might ultimately not be used.
Has anyone had experience with this and can clearly say which tools are not needed for assembling the Brimnes? I’m interested in both surprising tips and the classic tools that people might mistakenly think are required.

- Cordless drill or power drill (since plastic anchors and screws can be easily fastened by hand)
- Hammer (the included plastic parts do not require any impact tools)
- Screwdrivers of various sizes (the supplied Allen key is sufficient)
The most important things are a stable work surface and some patience. So, you can manage without a large tool collection.

Even the cordless screwdriver takes a backseat here, as the screws are better turned by hand. This way, you protect both yourself and the furniture.
