Hello everyone, I am planning to install my new Ikea Metod kitchen cabinet doors in a way that no screws are visible from the outside. Specifically, I am interested in which methods or special accessories I can use to attach the doors invisibly, without having to cover them afterward with trims or panels. I already have experience assembling furniture and know the common hinges, but it is important to me that the appearance of the doors remains clean and uninterrupted. Are there, for example, invisible fastening systems, special clips, or alternative mounting frames, or would I even need to make modifications to the doors or cabinet boxes? I am looking for a solution that fits precisely, is stable, and durable. Any recommendations with tips on implementation are welcome, even if it involves modifying the doors or sourcing specific accessories. Thanks in advance!

If you want a finish completely without visible screws, you can also use adhesive or special press-in fasteners. These are rare but offer a solution, especially for lightweight fronts. However, you should carefully check the doors in advance to ensure they are suitable for this.

It is very important to aim for an installation method that meets exactly these criteria, not just an appealing appearance. This means: choosing high-quality concealed hinges with enclosed mounting is the best compromise. Other solutions using clips or magnets quickly lose their hold and require maintenance. Preparing the drill holes according to Ikea guidelines is the most efficient approach.

I completely agree, especially when the doors are used daily. The appearance is consistent, and when the screws are placed inside the cabinet, they are practically invisible. Additionally, the ability to adjust them later makes handling much easier.

One more tip: For a professional look, be sure to measure the drilling points accurately, align doors and cabinets precisely, and don’t compromise on the quality of the fittings.
