Hello dear forum members.
I have been quietly following for some time and would now like to take the opportunity to gather some tips and advice. We are currently planning our house and would like to share our initial drafts with you.
We are completely flexible in the planning and want a functional home for 4 people. Important features for us are a kitchen island, fireplace, and walk-in shower on the ground floor.
We would appreciate any tips and suggestions, as we have never planned or built a house before.
Thank you very much in advance.

The utility room has been moved upstairs to the north side because the heat pump is also planned to be installed there.
Otherwise, it’s hard to tell much, and there’s no sense of scale… The kitchen doesn’t match the original poster’s preferences. We would also place the heat pump in front of the house if the utility room were on the south side… We are flexible, and our first thought was to use the garage to create a sheltered corner for the terrace.
As I said, we are very open to ideas.

It looks interesting, although I think the actual measurements will probably cause some issues again… Having a kitchen island is important to us, rather than just a seating area.icarus123 schrieb:
We basically planned it like this, which we quite liked. Is it possible that you designed the house around the kitchen?
It’s fine if the sofa/TV area is somewhat secondary, but in the end, a family wants to feel comfortable in the house every day. Life isn’t just about cooking 😉
