Hello,

Is it common to install underfloor heating in the utility room (ground floor), or is that usually avoided? In our utility room, there will be the gas boiler (with a 300-liter (79-gallon) hot water tank), the ventilation system, as well as the washing machine and dryer. Should underfloor heating be planned there as well?
How did you handle this?

Best regards,
Sabine

No. It already heats enough. Unnecessary. Karsten

For the reasons mentioned, I also decided against it.

If we had built with a thermal envelope as planned, the pantry and utility room would have been unheated. Which also makes some sense.

We are also not installing underfloor heating in the utility room because, as mentioned earlier, there are already technical devices there that generate heat. Additionally, if there is a heating manifold in that room, it will include the heating circuits for the other rooms that warm the floors.

It is unusual because it is pointless.
