Hello everyone,
In our building application, we specified the garage with a height of 2.68 meters (8 feet 9 inches) for some reason. The garage is properly located at the edge of the property on the area designated as GA in the development plan.
Would it be possible to build the garage 3 meters (9 feet 10 inches) high instead, contrary to the application, or do we have to stick to the approved plans? The construction is taking place in Baden-Württemberg.
The question arises because we are quite certain that we will not actually build a garage there. Instead, a carport is planned, which will be greened. Therefore, we would like to make use of the maximum permitted height.
Best regards

Who comes up with 9 and 15?3x3 and 5x3? 😀 I also find it puzzling whether this really needs to be regulated again when the wall area facing the neighbor is already limited, and thus implicitly the lengths as well.

The garage that is or will become a carport…Exactly, good observation. We are having a garage designed but will most likely only build a carport. We assume no one will mind (or do you think/know otherwise?).

Exactly, good observation. We are having a garage designed but will most likely only build a carport. For us, it will be the exact opposite. Our approved plans include a parking space with a carport behind it, but we have now decided to build a garage instead. Even a proper one, ;-) with bricks and all. I am currently researching what is allowed and what isn’t.
