Hello everyone,
we are about to complete the bathroom on the top floor of our new build. The pipes have already been installed going upwards. We have a laundry chute in that room. We would also like to install a shower, which would need to be positioned in a way that the laundry chute is integrated into it. Do you have any ideas on how to make the chute waterproof? Is this even possible?

Practically, maybe with a rubber seal, but would you really like that? We also initially planned a laundry chute but then removed it (due to concerns about noise disturbance from the utility room). I can’t say that I miss it. Whether I carry the laundry basket down or throw the clothes down the chute, I still have to sort them downstairs anyway. 😉

What about the shaft? What material is the frame made of? Where is the showerhead located 2 m (6.5 ft) away?
