ᐅ Is the kitchen price reasonable? Alternative manufacturer?

Hello,

a Nobilia kitchen (Line N, handleless) has been planned with approximate dimensions of 290x345cm (115x136 inches). Unfortunately, an island does not fit in the space, as there also needs to be room for a dining table.

This is a condominium in a two-family house. It is possible that we will build or buy a house in 5–10 years and then rent out the apartment with the kitchen. For this reason, we have tried to plan the kitchen as cost-effectively as possible.

Base cabinets:
1x 50cm (20 inch) door with a small drawer
60cm (24 inch) stove
60cm (24 inch) dishwasher
65cm (26 inch) corner cabinet (blind)
3x 90cm (35 inch) drawers (50cm (20 inch) deep, as the slant creates a recess allowing a front with 3x90cm (35 inch) to be formed)

Wall cabinets:
1x 50cm (20 inch) with door
1x 60cm (24 inch) extractor hood (Elica, visually “disappears”)
3x 60cm (24 inch) with doors

Material for fronts and countertop: white concrete
3 LED spotlights
Black sink plus mixer tap
One of the drawers in the 90cm (35 inch) cabinets has another type of drawer integrated that can be separated at the push of a button. Difficult to explain.

The appliances are currently from Junker (stove, oven, and dishwasher). The dishwasher runs at 48dB. In a competitor's brochure we saw today, there was a Samsung dishwasher at 44dB for the same final price. We will need to discuss this again with the consultant. Reportedly, Junker is good quality and competitively priced compared to the usual brands (Neff, Samsung, Bosch, AEG, etc.). Possibly, an oven with a black front will be installed instead of stainless steel. The refrigerator is planned separately.

According to the consultant, the Line N does not have a drawer under the oven. We thought we saw one at an exhibition. Does anyone know? Unfortunately, there is no detailed product overview for the Line N available online.

The price including installation and appliances is 5700 euros, or 5900 euros if glass inserts are installed on the side panels of the drawers. For comparison: instead of 3x 90cm (35 inch) drawers, 3x 90cm (35 inch) cabinets with 6x 45cm (18 inch) doors would cost 5100 euros. However, we prefer the drawers.

What do you think of the price? Are there manufacturers with comparable quality at a lower price?

Best regards

PS: The color does not come out quite as nicely in the photo/printout.

I agree. When you include delivery and installation, the costs end up in the same range. It might be about $300 cheaper, but the difference isn’t significant. What we liked about IKEA—and what kept us from choosing Nobilia—was the wider variety of drawer solutions and the lower extra cost for features like black sinks, wall panels, and LED lighting. Back in 2017, we ended up paying around $4600 for a similar kitchen, including delivery and installation, with appliances but without a refrigerator, since ours stands freely in the kitchen. We also had a dedicated planner at IKEA who genuinely wanted to design our kitchen to suit us, not just sell their products. That made a real difference.

I claim IKEA goes for at least 20% less. In Poland, 40-50%.

Should he order the kitchen from IKEA Szczecin and pick it up there with Klaufix, then a 14-day quarantine, etc.?

I doubt that, @Tolentino… all appliances, comparable fronts, and all necessary parts, delivery, and installation do not cost 20% less at IKEA.

Ah sorry, I thought I was in the 17,900 Nolte thread. Too many kitchen threads here.
I take everything back.

Thank you for your replies. At first glance, the price for the Nobilia kitchen seems reasonable.

Soft water is available.

I looked into IKEA kitchens about two years ago when I needed a small kitchen for one of my rental apartments. At that time, the IKEA kitchen including installation was more expensive than the current kitchen studio. This would be the third kitchen we buy there.

For the dishwasher, we’re aiming for the 44dB option (which the competitor offers at the same price as our 48dB model), since it’s an open plan living/dining/kitchen area, and 4dB difference will certainly help.
