Hey,
the driveway will be paved soon. At some point, we might also set up a carport. What is the best approach? Paving everything first and then having to open up the paved areas again at the support points for the carport seems counterproductive. It might be better to know in advance which carport will be installed to plan those points now. But depending on when the carport will be added, it might never happen, so the planned points could end up being wrong. Do you have any tips on how to handle this best?
Additional question: Does anyone use a carport purchased via e*bay or perhaps bought at a home improvement store? Any experience with that? What should one pay attention to?
Thanks for your feedback!

Yes, metal sheets can be quite noisy, and it’s important to install an underlayment membrane beneath the battens when you install metal roofing. This is because even anti-condensation metal sheets can sweat, causing water to form on the underside of the sheets where the fleece is, making the fleece wet. My tip as a roofer: put wood on top and cover it with two layers of roofing felt 😉

"Abscheißen"? 😀;) I guess that was an autocorrect mistake.
So you mean no trapezoidal sheets at all but covering directly with wood?Yes, it should have been "abschweißen." Metal sheets are not ideal, so better to seal it by torching 😉 Use 24mm (1 inch) tongue-and-groove boards and then apply two layers of roofing felt by torching. From experience as a roofer, this will give you about 30 years trouble-free. T
