Hello everyone,
We are new to this forum.
We recently purchased a plot of land and now want to build a house. We plan to visit several providers and request quotes. We have appointments with Schwörerhaus, Okal Haus, Weberhaus, and Bien-Zenker. Does anyone have experience with these companies and can recommend any of them?
We look forward to an active exchange.
Best regards

About the original thread:
We now belong to the group of people who want little to no polystyrene.
We visited an Okal house model once. During our first walk-through, they tried to pressure us into signing and cornered us as a pair, besides making many demonstrably false statements – so we decided against them. Of course, there might be more qualified consultants elsewhere. Anyway, they would have been out because of the polystyrene issue.
Weberhaus was also in the running, but somehow the spark just didn’t catch. On paper, they had everything we wanted, but somehow it just didn’t fit. Maybe because we already had made more progress with the competitors and had some arguments in our favor.
In the end, we went with Schwörerhaus. They provided the most and best professional information, transparent pricing, and no pressure to sign. My parents also built with them two decades ago. We particularly like the wall construction with the Cospan panels, although that’s more a matter of preference. You get a bit more mass and better sound insulation. The basement is now built, and deadlines are being met. There was quite a bit of waiting time in between, but that was also related to the architect (who you have to commission separately).
Current status: We would build with Schwörerhaus again, but definitely use a different architect!

According to a painter, it also depends on the additives in the paint. Algaecides and fungicides must be included. These do wash out over time. tomtom79 schrieb:
After 10 years, though, even solid constructions have problems if there is a lot of shrubbery and trees nearby.Yep, we don’t have streaks, but on the north-facing wall where a plant pot stands, green growth appears around it. This can be sprayed in spring, and then it goes away again.tomtom79 schrieb:
This is the Massa house, it has severe streaks and stains on the west side. Whereas the Okal house has zero issues, they somehow belong to the same manufacturer. So you assume same holding company = same assembly plant?https://www.instagram.com/11antgmxde/

@ypg Does it really come off that easily? Why wouldn’t people do it then? I only have experience with clay on the facade because nothing happened to it during the first year outside. Even with a pressure washer, it didn’t come off completely.
@11ant I assume the paints are bought in bulk. And a certain quality should be a given. I believe the manufacturer of the paint was even specified in the building specifications for Schwörerhaus.

It ended up being Schwörerhaus. Most and best professional information, price transparency, no pressure to sign. I can’t confirm that. The salesperson did have all the prices ready, but I had to struggle to get them out of him. Basically, he did almost nothing and just waited for us to sign. At the second meeting, towards the end of the conversation, we were shown (but not given) a paper stating that prices would increase by the end of the year and that we should quickly sign a preliminary contract to lock in the prices. This was 1.5 weeks before Christmas, mind you. This happened despite me already asking about the validity period of the offer during the earlier conversation and saying that we wanted to make a final decision only in January (that would have been the time to mention the price increase). He hasn’t contacted us since to ask if we’re still interested.
Conclusion: Poor salespeople exist everywhere.

Oraclefile30 Jan 2021 18:54Our experience with Schwörerhaus so far: several meetings took place before signing the contract, during which we received a rough house design along with approximate pricing. When we had questions about specific items, they were addressed and the prices were provided. We were informed about a price increase one month in advance to avoid any last-minute pressure and to prevent frustration afterward. The previous conditions were extended by one month.
Unfortunately, after signing the contract, there has been little communication, and our sales consultant remains our only contact person. He has been under constant pressure since the beginning and seems to work seven days a week.
According to other homeowners, the quality appears to be very good, and communication is good once the architect’s plans have been reviewed. However, this process currently takes about six months.
So, building quickly with Schwörerhaus is currently not possible, and this is something to be aware of.
