A big and important request, hope you can help me: What experiences have you had with architects? And which companies in this field do you consider the best or the worst? Please share some tips!

More precisely: It’s about building a new house. Not just any house, it’s meant to be something special. (My parents want to build one.) Since there are so many companies, it would be interesting to hear some of your experiences with different Austrian firms.

My parents also built a house. Unfortunately, I no longer remember the name of the company. (but I don’t want to advertise anyway). Some minor issues did occur. The most important thing is to clarify every detail in advance and make sure it is carried out exactly as agreed.

Yes, I agree with Harald. Small issues can always arise (this has been the case for all acquaintances who have built a house so far). It is important to carefully check whether all agreements have been followed, because then you are entitled to have any damages and so on repaired as agreed.

You might want to look at the work of different architects to make comparisons. Also, ask around among your acquaintances—do you know anyone who has recently built a house? As Harald points out, it is important that everything is agreed upon in detail beforehand and put down in writing (!).
