I came across this forum and would like to share my floor plan with you.
To briefly explain my building project and myself: I am 28 years old, currently single, and no children are planned. It will be a bungalow because I simply like them and find them cozy. My total budget is fully used up at €330,000. Therefore, I am initially leaving out a carport, garden/tool shed, and landscaping.
A carport will be added later on the right side of the house.
I look forward to ideas or suggestions for improvement.
Please excuse my rough sketch, as I do not yet have a floor plan from the architect at this stage.

Personal price limit for the house including fixtures: budget fully exhausted
Preferred heating technology: air-to-water heat pump without ventilation system

I think I’ve already given up everything non-essential 😀

motorradsilke4 Jan 2021 07:30I have just designed a similar floor plan.
However, in my version, the wall between the entrance and the kitchen is removed because I definitely don’t want to have to pass through the living room to get to the kitchen. I would make the utility room a bit smaller and definitely include a guest toilet right by the entrance. Even with just two people (and maybe the plans for children will change), I find a second toilet essential.

Puschel924 Jan 2021 10:58I thought about the guest toilet for a long time. But the size of the utility room is more important to me. A lot needs to fit in there: washing machine, heating system, utility sink, recycling bag for plastics, paper waste, freezer, drink crates, and so on. I don’t have a pantry, no basement, and the attic won’t really be used (truss roof and not insulated).
The door leading to the kitchen was originally there but was later closed off. I find it too open otherwise. We visited several show homes, and the open connection to the kitchen always bothered me.

Puschel924 Jan 2021 11:50Thank you. The utility room is now just under 14 sqm (150 sq ft); I don’t think I can make it much larger. I have already extended the house by half a meter (20 inches).
The terrace will be next to the dining room/kitchen, where it will be paved and later covered.
