I am considering using/acquiring a managed switch for the future home network.
In my opinion, it should meet all necessary requirements: Layer 3, routing, IGMPv3, VLAN without a router...
Does anyone have experience with this device or any other comments?

As for IGMPv3, I would have thought the same. On the other hand, it doesn’t always seem to be the case. The Unifis apparently don’t support it. The Edges, which I hadn’t known until now, apparently do.

Regarding IGMPv3, I thought the same. On the other hand, it doesn’t always seem to be the case. The Unifis apparently don’t support it. I’m not familiar with the Unifis, but my MagentaTV receiver is connected to a €25 Netgear GS108GE 8-port switch and works perfectly fine.
