ᐅ Dirty corner behind the sectional sofa? What is that?

Hello community,

the gray stuff on the white baseboards is dust – not mold or anything like that.

- There are strange spots in the corner on the wall – mold stains?
- From the corner, just below the baseboards, I noticed a yellowish tint, so I wanted to check what is going on behind it.
- What are those yellow spots on the back of the baseboards?
- Noticeable were these small creatures behind the couch, crawling out along the wall.

Yes, the couch was against the wall – now it’s about 1cm (0.4 inches) away. Although with kids jumping on it, that gap probably won’t last long.

Looks like it: booklice!

And the yellow spots on the wood? Are those eggs? Does the wood react (e.g., softness, discoloration)?

Residual moisture in the new build is likely, we moved in 3 years ago.
What do you mean by feeding marks? The spots on the wall?
