Hello everyone,
As we are currently looking into buying a kitchen, we are interested in the fairness of the asking prices. Our experience so far has been that price reductions of 25-50% off the initial prices have sometimes been offered.
To get a better idea of what constitutes a reasonable price for a kitchen, rather than focusing on "how much of a discount can I negotiate," I would like to see a list of your kitchen purchases:
Manufacturer:
Kitchen studio:
Initial price:
Final price:
I hope this discussion will help readers by sharing real experiences, leading to a fair interaction at the kitchen showroom, without either party feeling like they have been taken advantage of.
Best regards,
Sascha aus H

We are currently at Küchenaktuell – but in Rahlstedt. Also at Möbel Kraft in Buchholz, so we can compare.
We’re just uncertain about the prices because you hear so many different things, and to be honest, I don’t have a clear sense of what would be a fair price.
And of course, we do have a budget limit already. If you have a limit, for example 12000€ (about 12,900 USD), then tell them 10000€ (about 10,750 USD), explain which style is popular, and they will plan with you.
I won’t repeat my tip and don’t know if everyone at Küchen Aktuell works the same way as him.
But I do know that several people here have been to him and were very satisfied.
Regards, Yvonne
Our final prices from three different providers ultimately only differed by a few hundred euros. Therefore, we made our decision based on consultation and service. The seller has years of experience as an installer and now has his own team. He does not work with subcontractors for the installation, as he has his own small team.
The first realistic way to determine the price is actually using the IKEA kitchen planner. However, you should also factor in delivery and $199 per meter (incl. tax) for assembly. Otherwise, it would be unfair compared to kitchen studios.
Next: Möbel Schulenburg in Halstenbek carries a hideously looking discount brand for simpler furniture: Tejos Furniture Discount, for example in Wentorf near Hamburg. You shouldn’t be put off by the appearance. We also have Tejos here and bought one kitchen for a commercial property locally, a Nobilia kitchen with assembly and delivery, including branded appliances Bosch/Siemens, at a fair price. The kitchen was tendered with three bidders, and he was clearly cheaper than the competitors. (It’s a large U-shape with wall cabinets in an L layout. Freestanding refrigerator. Commercial dishwasher from Siemens with a 15-minute hot and clean cycle, stove/oven from Siemens, no extractor hood, including under-cabinet lighting, fronts in ash imitation, white carcass, double stainless steel sink with a rinse faucet similar to a shower, base cabinets with drawers except under the sink, where there are doors, standard countertop, $10,400) It’s worth a try. How the store looked doesn’t matter once the kitchen is installed. Karsten

Thank you very much for all the tips. We will now actually plan a kitchen at IKEA to have a reference value. We are not trying to save every last hundred. But if I end up paying €14,000 instead of €11,000, I would definitely be annoyed.
