Hello,

we want to buy a small hot tub for the garden. Not from China or overseas, we have chosen Wellis, which manufactures in Hungary. The size will be 2 by 2 meters (6.5 by 6.5 feet), or possibly a model a few centimeters (inches) larger.

Now we are wondering if an integrated Bluetooth sound system is really necessary. It costs about 950 € extra. During the very good consultation, we forgot to ask about it, but it was added as an extra cost in the offer.

Who owns a smaller hot tub with a sound system and actually uses it? Or is it a "nice to have" feature that just ends up unused?

We are getting a whirlpool bathtub for indoors, which also does not have sound systems. Although we like to listen to something while lying in the tub, we have decided not to install one. What bothers me is that the system is basically always on (if I understood correctly).

You have probably already researched the ongoing costs and required connections (electricity; water supply and drainage), control systems, filters, etc., so I likely don’t need to add anything on that.

I would not recommend the sound system. For significantly less money, you can get more by simply using a Bluetooth or Wi-Fi speaker. This can also be used in other areas and easily replaced if something breaks.

Alternatively, you can hardwire outdoor speakers if your house already has a multi-room audio system.

Yes, everything else is settled.

I would stick with that as well; any other self-sufficient system is significantly more expensive.

I would also rather leave it. A Bluetooth speaker or something similar is definitely the better choice, and depending on the manufacturer, they also offer good volume and great sound quality.
