ᐅ Which outdoor furniture is best for a terrace?

We are currently considering which outdoor furniture to choose for our patio. I would prefer something comfortable to lounge in since we will already have a dining set in the gazebo. That’s why I like the idea of a lounge set. However, I'm wondering how durable these pieces are. Our patio is not covered, and the furniture would have to stay outside during winter as well.

I was thinking of something like this:

Terrace seating by the sea: gray rattan sofa set, blue cushions, glass table with hydrangea flower

Set rattan outdoor table with chairs by the pool, mountain landscape and stone wall in the background.

The furniture is made of aluminum with rattan.

Does anyone have experience with this type of furniture? Can it withstand all weather conditions if left outside? Would protective covers be enough?

What kind of outdoor furniture have you chosen for your patio, and why?

In the bedding store adjacent to northern Germany, there were garden furniture sets on offer with an additional 25% discount.

Table 100 x 205 cm (39 x 81 inches) plus eight adjustable chairs for about €600, can’t complain.

@halmi You mean the Miami series I mentioned, right? We're still considering getting them today as well. I'm just not completely sure about their quality yet. Hmm

I believe the ones we looked at were called Las Vegas.

The 25% discount, of course, doesn’t apply to the set prices. My wife just called me. We did it individually and ended up at just under €700 (about $750), which I still think is a reasonable price.

We had already checked out the table before, and I would describe the quality as good. For now, it works fine for us.

I took a look and apart from the dimensions and the color, the Miami and Las Vegas tables seem identical to me. The chairs are the same except for the color, but there is a different price. So, as usual, the industry is quite unclear.

Let’s see how they look in person later.

The upholstery of the chairs is somewhat different, but overall it is apparently the same product/quality.

One year later, this topic is now relevant to us as well...

Do you have any news, recommendations, or suppliers for outdoor furniture?

I’m afraid of high prices due to strong demand caused by the pandemic... and we don’t want to wait until autumn.
We want to make the most of our first summer in our own garden!

We are considering a sunbed (as a relaxing and cozy spot) and the classic table and chairs. Everything will be under a covered area.
Especially regarding the sunbed, I’ve seen mostly poor reviews from online retailers...
