Hello everyone, I am currently planning my new Pax wardrobe system from Ikea and looking closely at the matching interior components. My question is: which cabinet components from the Ikea range work best with the PAX frame without causing compatibility issues? I am especially interested in shelf options, drawer inserts, hanging rails, and possibly special accessories like baskets or clamp rails. It is important that they fit securely, are well made, and support the storage concept optimally. I look forward to your experience and tips on which PAX-compatible components have proven to be reliable.

Additional information on the topic: The Ikea PAX systems are designed to be modular, meaning that components such as shelves, drawers, hanging rails, or baskets can be interchanged within the respective frame sizes (e.g., 50x58cm (20x23 inches), 75x58cm (30x23 inches), etc.) without any modifications. Here are some technical details: - Shelves are usually 1.8 cm (0.7 inches) thick and can hold up to 25 kg (55 lbs); support points are pre-arranged at the factory. - Drawer slides are precise and can be retrofitted or replaced. - Metal baskets from the Komplement series are designed for the 58 cm (23 inch) depth. - For 35 cm (14 inch) model depths, specific adjustments exist, with generally fewer options available. Combining Ikea Komplement with PAX is practical and functional.

PAX is flexible, but only PAX components fit perfectly. Other DIY interior solutions often don’t fit well or look unbalanced. It’s better to use PAX-specific accessories.

Exactly. If you want to be on the safe side, you should stick to PAX accessories. Other Ikea systems are designed for different depths, widths, and construction methods.
