Hello,
we are currently renovating our house and are considering possible flooring options for the upstairs hallway.
The hallway is accessed via a beech staircase. Four rooms open off the hallway: two of these rooms have laminate flooring in a light oak finish. The bedroom is carpeted in a light beige color. The bathroom has light gray tiles with a stone look.
At the moment, the hallway has a dark brown vinyl floor. Could you please give me advice on which color or wood-look vinyl flooring would best match without clashing with the laminate and the beech staircase?
Many thanks to you all!

The staircase is an independent element. It can be followed by contrast, similarity, or something entirely different. So at this point, nothing would be a disaster.
However, I think having more than two types of flooring on the same level is too much.
If you don’t want to replace the laminate and carpet in the rooms for cost reasons or otherwise, I would suggest either buying extra laminate or carpet for the hallway.
Just imagine—upstairs, with the staircase, you already have four different material finishes and want to add a fifth... In my opinion, this makes the floor look in need of renovation.
