Hello everyone, I recently assembled an IKEA METOD cabinet frame with doors, but unfortunately, the doors on my cabinet don’t close flush. This means the doors aren’t aligned evenly on the same plane, there are uneven gaps, and in some spots, it looks like the doors touch or are slightly offset. I have already adjusted the hinges several times, but without a satisfactory result. My question is: What can I do if IKEA METOD cabinet doors don’t close flush? Are there any special tips or adjustments that might not be obvious right away? And could it also be related to the wall or the cabinet placement causing the doors to be misaligned? I look forward to your advice and experiences, thanks in advance!

If the cabinet frame seems warped to you, it should be corrected before working on the doors. This is really the crucial point. If the cabinet frame is crooked, even the best hinge adjustment won’t help.
I would add that sometimes it helps to press the cabinet frame against the wall on the backside using spacers to achieve a better basic alignment.
Also, a tip: don’t fully tighten all screws immediately; first, secure them loosely. Then adjust the doors and finally tighten the screws to prevent any shifting.
Some here probably also have experience on the best way to do this.
