Hello everyone,
I am currently considering installing the Ikea Pax LED strips in my new wardrobe. Since I have no prior experience with this type of lighting, I would like to know about your experiences with it. I am especially interested in:
- How easy or complicated is the installation, especially for someone with limited DIY skills?
- What is the quality of the light like? Is it bright enough while still being comfortable?
- Are there any issues with durability or power supply?
- How flexible are the strips in terms of positioning and cutting?
I want to avoid having major problems or disappointments after assembly. So please feel free to share detailed or brief reports—I look forward to your feedback!

I primarily want to improve the interior lighting in the closet because the main lighting in my bedroom is sometimes not sufficientI can relate to that very well. It was similar for me, and I find that the lighting inside the closet really makes a difference in daily life – no more searching in the dark!
In addition to the positioning, I would also recommend paying close attention to the connections of the LED strips. After a few months, the connections can become loose. A quick check from time to time prevents the light from going out at the wrong moment.
Also, I added a small switch to my setup because otherwise the light was always on, which I didn’t want. You might want to consider that if you don’t have an automatic closet door system with a sensor.
All in all, good luck with your installation!
