Hello everyone,

The house is finished and we have moved in a week ago. However, the landscaping has not started yet, and we have not found a satisfactory quote so far. At the moment, we cannot use our garage because it is about 15cm (6 inches) higher than the gravel in the yard. Does anyone have ideas or experience on how to drive cars into the garage until the yard is paved (hopefully later this year)?

15cm (6 inches) below ground level is actually ideally prepared. As a temporary solution, I would make something using wood.

What is the current cost of wood? Then there is your own time. A 15cm (6 inches) curb ramp is available pre-made. Stable, etc. I wouldn’t take the risk that something suddenly breaks or sinks... and then the car’s underbody rests on the garage edge.
