Hello everyone,

The house is finished and we have moved in a week ago. However, the landscaping has not started yet, and we have not found a satisfactory quote so far. At the moment, we cannot use our garage because it is about 15cm (6 inches) higher than the gravel in the yard. Does anyone have ideas or experience on how to drive cars into the garage until the yard is paved (hopefully later this year)?

Thanks!

Good morning. I had a temporary wedge-shaped gravel base laid here. It works for a while. Regards

There are ramps available for that or you can build something with wood. Currently, the prefabricated option is probably more cost-effective.

Have gravel delivered.
You will need it later anyway for leveling and as a base layer under paving.

Level with a spade and shovel over a length of 1m (3.3 ft), taking rainwater into account

We have been experiencing a lot of heavy rainfall here recently. Therefore, I wouldn’t recommend using gravel or soil here; instead, just add a wedge or ramp. Just search for curb ramp online. You can get it done for around 100€ (about $110).
