Hello everyone,
As mentioned above, we want to get a robotic lawn mower to start the spring season.
Which ones do you use, recommend, or avoid, and why?
Does it have to be a Husqvarna, or is a Worx also good enough? Why one and not the other?
I’m very interested in hearing about your experiences.
Best regards
Tarnari

Gardena requires the gateway for coverage. Husqvarna has an integrated SIM card with lifetime service. That is very convenient.
I have built a smart home, but so far I haven’t connected my robotic mowers.
However, I don’t have a use case like yours.Hi Rick,
thanks for the info. How is the connection to the Gardena gateway? Via Wi-Fi? From what I’ve seen so far, I might be able to implement my scenario with it. A reed switch reports an open door to my KNX binary input —> command via Home Assistant (which I use as visualization server and logic engine) to the robotic mower

So, do you also have a 1000 sqm (10,764 sq ft) robot for that area?We have the 750 model for 300-350 m² (3,229-3,767 sq ft), which is sufficient. So, the job is done. Luna—our little one named the robot that—runs its rounds diligently and finds its way back without any issues.
Now I need to work on the coverage areas and operating times. Are there any best practices for that?
And one more question: Gardena recommends not operating the robot below 5°C (41°F) and to remove it when there is a risk of frost. Is this really that critical? How do you handle this?
