Hello everyone,

As mentioned above, we want to get a robotic lawn mower to start the spring season.
Which ones do you use, recommend, or avoid, and why?
Does it have to be a Husqvarna, or is a Worx also good enough? Why one and not the other?
I’m very interested in hearing about your experiences.

Best regards

Due to the current extreme supply difficulties, is there any reason not to lay the cable before owning the robot? The lawn will be completely newly installed, so it would make sense to lay the boundary wire at the same time.

The lawn will be completely redone, so it would make sense to lay the boundary wire at the same time.
Basically, there’s no reason against it. You can test it that way. The alternative is to lay the wire on the lawn using ground stakes. After a while, they become completely invisible.

As an addition, what I basically want to say is that I would first lay the cable above ground and let the robot run. Only when I see that everything is being covered well would I lay it underground.
For this, a simple lawn edging tool is actually sufficient. So first lay it above ground, see how it goes, and then cut in for underground installation. Afterwards, no one will see it.

After a few months, the cables won’t be visible anyway. Burying them is not necessarily required. I would also recommend laying them above ground. You can do it even without a trenching machine.
