ᐅ Telecom Connection – Line Already Installed, Still Have to Pay $600?

I applied for my internet and phone connection with the telecom provider. In the meantime, the local energy supplier (a small regional company) has already installed the phone cable to the house.
The cable now only needs to be connected to the telecom provider’s network and the "APL box" inside the building needs to be connected. No more earthworks are required. (I wanted to complete all excavation work in one go, which was successful).
I have now read that in this case the telecom provider is not allowed to charge for the connection – can anyone provide more detailed information on this?

In our case, it was a collaboration between the local network operator and the telecom provider. The telecom provider bills the end customer, and the utility company installs the line. Or did you pay the energy supplier separately for the connection?
By the way: civil engineering work would be an additional cost on top of that 😉.Billed directly – with me, it’s a small regional provider, not EON or similar...

Billed directly – for me, it’s a small local provider, not EON or anything like that… I’m talking about the telephone connection now. It’s clear that you accounted for the electricity connection. By the way, for us it’s also a small regional supplier with a cooperation agreement with Telekom. Only Unitymedia wasn’t allowed to install their cables; otherwise, they would have done it too. They were only allowed to come on-site and fill a prepared empty conduit.
In the end, it doesn’t matter who you pay for the service. But either way, you have to cover the cost.
