ᐅ T-distributors – do they point downward when being screwed in?

HausnerHello,
I would like to set up a distribution system from my cistern to the water outlets. The distribution will be installed in my garage extension. I’m thinking of using three brass T-pieces (1 inch). The T-pieces (all female threaded) I want to connect with a double nipple. The bottom connection of the T-pieces should point downward. For the leftmost connection of the T, I plan to use a 90-degree elbow also pointing down.
How can I ensure that all the bottom T-connections and the 90-degree elbow actually point downward when I tighten them? Or can I loosen the pieces afterward so they point down but still remain watertight (I’ll use hemp)?
Sorry for the basic question, but I’m not a professional.
