Hello everyone,

Would you place the control switches for the roller shutters directly at each window (as our construction manager suggests) or rather near the room entrance with the other light switches (as we proposed)?

Both!
We have a central switch by the door that controls all the lights in the room. The windows each have their own individual switches. In the entrance hall, there is a central switch that controls all the windows throughout the entire house. Take that.

Of course, you could also just install switches all over the walls.

Unfortunately, we don’t have an app because the RTS system from Somfy is installed. But I can live with that.

In our case, it will probably come down to a switch by the door. Possibly, there will also be one in the living room for each of the two double windows so they can be controlled separately.

To my knowledge, Somfy’s TaHoma Box works with both io and RTS products, so app control would also be possible. Just ask Somfy or the specialist dealer.

Oh, I thought RTS was the cheaper and older version. But good to know, maybe you can upgrade later. For now, the simple control is enough for me.

We don't have any switches for this. You either control it via an app or by long-pressing a light switch next to the door. So, pressing and holding upwards closes all the shutters, etc. However, in 90% of cases, everything is controlled automatically anyway.

Via app (Rademacher) and at the individual windows.

The app contains timer functions and so on. If individual windows need to be adjusted without a phone, settings must be made directly at the window.
