Hello,

I hope this is the right place to ask this question.
We want to have electric roller shutters installed in our house. The builder is charging 198 € per shutter, including a switch at each window.

My question is: Is this price reasonable, or would it be better to choose manual crank shutters and have them retrofitted later?
(I’m deliberately using “have them retrofitted” because I would first need to find a professional for that, as I have absolutely no knowledge of electrical work myself.)

Take a look here. Lots of interesting information about electrical planning:

Hello... We paid about 200 € just for the motors per window. I consider the price reasonable.

@Saruss:
I have read the link, and it says that it is cheaper with "self-build." However, that assumes either a) I have the skills or b) I have someone to professionally install it for me. As I already mentioned, neither a) nor b) applies to me.

@Elektro (I was about to write "Elo" from my military days^^):
The Intercity train from Munich to Hamburg is running late today (or maybe not at all)…
Meaning: I have zero idea (As far as having manufacturer names, we are not there yet, and if we are, we will probably have to decide soon). These are just the ones Danwood installs.
If possible, I might ask the builders two locations away next week if they have any information.

@Projekthausbau:
According to Danwood, the motors and switches cost 198 € each.

Of course, the question of "being able to do it" is personal, but the motors and so on are very easy to install and connect. You might have to fiddle a bit the first time, but after that, it goes smoothly. I believe you can get good control (more than just on-off) plus a motor for around €100 (about $110).

Danwood will probably tell you which manufacturer they plan to use.
