Hello everyone,
Would you place the control switches for the roller shutters directly at each window (as our construction manager suggests) or rather near the room entrance with the other light switches (as we proposed)?

I think it makes sense to install switches on the exterior walls Next to the windows and doors. Standard ones with arrows as directional indicators.

It gets tricky in the living room with many windows. 1 = 1, 2 = 2, 1+2 = 3, double-click twice = 4, double-click once = 5. Five window control groups (where adjacent fixed panes can be combined even with separate roller shutters / blinds) with two control panels aren’t that complicated after all.

We have installed wireless motors from Somfy and initially have no switches—neither on the windows nor on interior doors.
We use one remote control (Nina io) per floor and can also operate everything via an app. Additionally, some processes are automated (such as shading controlled by a sun sensor, etc.).
Recently, we added two wireless wall-mounted switches in two rooms (guest room and children’s room) so that the blinds can be controlled "like before" directly from the room. This is quite useful when you have a tired child and need to react quickly and spontaneously, or when guests are present who do not have the app and don't want or shouldn’t have to deal with the remote control.
We now plan to install a wireless switch next to the front door to control all the blinds.
So far, I am very impressed with the system.
The Somfy system will soon be expanded to include a patio roof with awnings, as well as a rolling gate for the carport.
